Professor Vlaicu Ionescu is the founder of I.C.N.S. (International Center for Nostradamian Studies)

Many consider him an authority on Michel Nostradamus, the famed 16th century Doctor, and Prophet.

Unlike many modern translators of Nostradamus, Vlaicu Ionescu is one of the only modern translators to fore tell major world events before they occurred based on his translations of Nostradamus.

If you are a fan of Thee Under Ground, you know that we've written many articles on the infamous modern seer Sollog He is the only other modern translator of Nostradamus to score any major hits on future events!

So accurate are Sollog's GUARANTEED PROPHECIES, that many in the media call him THE NEW AGE NOSTRADAMUS among other handles all related to Nostradamus.

I wanted to see what Professor Ionescu's opinion on quatrain X 72 and Sollog's claims were, since many now consider the often quoted Nostradamus quatrain X 72 a complete failure.

Professor Ionescu resides in the Jackson Heights section of New York City.

On my first attempt to reach him, I was told by his wife that he was still in Paris.

An email from his Grandson, Christopher Graff, the secretary of I.C.N.S. informed me when he was due back.

Mr. Ionescu answered the phone on my second attempt and I informed him that I was doing an interview on him in regards to quatrain X 72.

Basically X 72 is one of the few dated prophecies of Nostradamus. Many think Nostradamus said the world was to end in July 1999. Anyone that can read French knows that the quatrain says no such thing, even though modern translators like Hogue and Cheetham speak of some King of Terror appearing in the sky.

Some say X 72 was about a meteor.

Sollog the modern NOSTRADAMUS, says it was a clear prophecy about JFK Jr's plane crash in July of 1999, and his translation hinges on what he says are simple printing TYPOS in the original printed books on Nostradamus.

It is these typos, that make the prophecy EASILY CONNECTED to JFK Jr. And it was the main reason I was calling one of the most respected authorities on Nostradamus, that being Professor Ionescu.

There has been already been much controversy over one of the words in X 72 being a typo. That being the word deffraieur, or D'effrayeur.

However, the two words that Sollog say are TYPOS don't involve the well debated controversy about deffraieur, they are two words that appear both ONLY ONCE in Nostradamus' works, both in the third line of quatrain X 72. Sollog says resusciter and Angolmois are the obvious typos, and once understood, this quatrain is clearly about the tragic death of JFK Jr. in July of 1999.

With no known hand written copy of the writings of the prophecies by Nostradamus, you have to go to the early 16th and 17th century copies to see what is there.

When I mentioned that a modern translator says these are typos, at first Professor Ionescu thought it was not possible.

I said, that the two words resusciter and angolmois are not in any French Dictionary of the 16th or 17th Century.

And the idea that Angolmois is an anagram of Mongolois is absurd, since Mongolois isn't a 16th or 17th Century French word either!

Professor Ionescu then INCORRECTLY STATED, that resusciter was often used by Nostradamus in his prophecies. It is really a word based on the Latin word for Resuscitating or to arise from the dead.

Since I have the complete French works of Nostradamus in a computer file, I was able to CHECK IT during the interview and I quickly told Professor Ionescu that HE WAS WRONG, Nostradamus only used that word ONCE and it isn't in any 16th Century dictionary!

He then was much more open to hearing what Sollog has to say about these two words that ARE NOT FRENCH WORDS in one of the most famous quatrains of Nostradamus.

Basically Sollog says resusciter is really two words and sloppy type setting of the 16th Century made a simple mistake by combining re with susciter.

In Sollog's scholarly translation of X 72, he explains that Re and Rea was used to explain THE WHEEL OF A VESSEL like a ship, or to say the person or captain of a ship, the person steering it.

It could also be referred to in occult writings in medieval times as RA the Sun God of Egypt often written Re until recent times.

It could also mean the wheel of KARMA in occult writings as well according to Sollog.

Professor Ionescu off hand couldn't contradict that statement by Sollog but he said he would respect it.

He did after some time AGREE that susciter is a way to say THE CAUSE of something. Although at first he wanted to only say it meant like the spirit of something, or IT'S BEING according to most French Dictionaries. When I explained that one of the accepted usages of susciter was indeed THE CAUSE of something according to my dictonary LA ROUSSE, he then agreed it was acceptable!

So the key word resusciter has NO DIRECT FRENCH EQUIVALENT (the closest is ressuciter) and it can be really two French words re and susciter. In Sollog's translation these words mean THE PILOT (the one at THE WHEEL) IS THE CAUSE, or AT THE WHEEL and THE CAUSE would be acceptable, since we have French Dictionaries proving these two words mean these things, even though they may not be the most common usage for them.

It's my OPINION, that to show resusciter is really two words in FRENCH makes MORE SENSE than the argument of Ionescu that it was a NON FRENCH WORD meant to mean whatever. If Nostradamus meant it to mean what the modern translators translate the word as, he would have used it more than once. Since the rising of the DEAD is a common allegory used in occult writings.

I was AMAZED that such an EXPERT on Nostradamus thought he used the word many times!

HE DIDN'T which supports the Sollog claim of a typo. And that turns the quatrain into a CLEAR JFK Jr related quatrain then.

The next word is an anagram of Mongolais according to Ionescu and other modern translators.

Mr. Ionescu referred to a 19th century French Dictionary when I asked where does Mongolais appear in any French dictionary.

I said there were NO 16th century dictionaries where the word appeared.

He couldn't contradict that statement.

When I explained that according to Sollog, Angolmois was again TWO FRENCH WORDS, he couldn't refute that obvious FACT either.

Angol is really ANGLO which is French slang for American. And Mois is an abbreviation of MOISE, a clear reference to birth or a youth, since Moise is OF (Old French) for not only MOSES but CRADLE.

Since 1996 Sollog has been saying this quatrain referred to an AMERICAN YOUTH or AMERICAN BIRTH, so it wasn't about a Royal of the Mongols as modern translators say, it was about a Royal of American Birth!

Professor Ionescu was quick to point out there is NO ROYALTY in the US. However, anyone that has followed the Kennedy's KNOW THE MEDIA CALLS THE KENNEDY LINE the royalty of America!

After about 20 minutes, Professor Ionescu stated, HE RESPECTED SOLLOG'S TRANSLATION, but he does have his own translation, which is different from most other translators as well.

Professor Ionescu's translation of this quatrain is that it was a reference to the Eclipse in August of 1999, EVEN THOUGH it clearly states JULY 1999 or 7th Month 1999.

He then says it was about the birth of the future king of France.

Now, Professor Ionescu like Sollog does have under his belt A DIRECT HIT of a major future event.

In his 1976 published work Message of Nostradamus he stated that the Russian Empire would fall in June of 1991. He based it on his use of TWIN QUATRAINS by Nostradamus.

That is an AMAZING HIT, if it is true. So far, I have yet to find a 1976 copy of the small press printing of his work.

It probably does exist. And it is most likely the reason that the media in Japan made Professor Ionescu a mini celebrity in the early 90's.

Professor Ionescu then related the story of how Japanese Television caught his remark that Gorbachev would be out of power soon in Russia, when his visit to Japan coincided with that of Gorbachev.

Is Professor Ionescu really an EXPERT on Nostradamus?

Well to tell me that a certain word appears OFTEN in the work of Nostradamus and to KNOW IT DOESN'T, led me to believe that Professor Ionescu might indeed be one of the most knowledgeable people living today on Nostradamus, but far from an expert IN MY OPINION!

When an EXPERT STATES SOMETHING you can rely on it. Resusciter appears ONLY ONCE in the quatrains of Nostradamus.

It isn't a French word.

It is a typo.

When I explained to Professor Ionescu how come I took that statement to be ROCK SOLID, I explained some of the amazing HITS that Sollog has had.

And also some of the translation of Nostradamus he has made in regards to current events like JFK Jr, Diana's death, TWA 800, Mother Theresa and even the Olympic Bombing. All these events have clear quatrains written by Nostradamus according to Sollog.

Although Professor Ionescu hadn't heard of Sollog, since he doesn't have internet access like his grandson, he was aware of some of the stories associated with Sollog.

His grandson had related some to him, about the modern seer the media says IS THE NEW AGE NOSTRADAMUS, the person that put exact information about TWA 800, Clintons Impeachment, Diana's death and many other events in a US Federal court case.

He also asked if I could send him any of the writings of Sollog. So he could meditate on them.

When I explained some of the amazing hits Sollog has made BY GUARANTEEING ACTS OF GOD like major quakes over 6.5 and hurricanes, Professor Ionescu stated these wonders were attributed by Nostradamus to THE THIRD ANTI CHRIST.

He stated that Sollog may indeed be the THIRD ANTI CHRIST of the prophecies of Nostradamus.

He also stated that a highly psychic person like Sollog didn't need the writings of Nostradamus to SEE HIS VISIONS. He could do it as easily in a used cup of tea!

He also stated that he thought Nostradamus wasn't as attuned as Sollog in regards to predicting paranormal events, since he stated Nostradamus only wrote prophecies about the future of man, he didn't make prophecies like Sollog ON ACTS OF GOD!

Professor Ionescu was also very IMPRESSED with the CREATOR FORMULA of Sollog when I explained it to him. How it PROVES the earth is the mathematical center of the Universe!

Currently there is only a recent book of Ionescu available in English, most of his other works are in French or Japanese translations.

Mr. Ionescu who is in his 70's, received a degree in Philosophy in Romania, then he received degrees in Music and then painting.

He taught at the German University of Philosphy, Art and Painting.

He has worked as an Old Masters Restorer in the US.

I asked Professor Ionescu what he thought of other modern translators.

On John Hogue he said, "NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT NOSTRADAMUS PROPHECIES IS RIGHT!"

On Erika Cheetham he said, "NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT NOSTRADAMUS PROPHECIES IS RIGHT!"

On Peter Lemesurier he said, "AN ABSOLUTE BEGINNER ON NOSTRADAMUS!, Although he displayed excellent research abilities in his Encyclopedia on Nostradamus"

On Michel Chomarat he said, "Very GOOD, he is a scientist and expert in authenticity of rare books!"

On Benazasra he said, "The best bibliography of Nostradamus was written by him!"

Professor Ionescu is very Christian, and he believes Nostradamus was a devout Christian as well. Even though many say his family only paid LIP SERVICE to the church, since they and their contemporaries were FORCED CONVERTS to Christianity in the 16th Century.

He also stated when he was explained about Sollog's religious movement belief of only following THE TORAH, "That anyone that only follows the TORAH is in trouble!"

So all JEWS BEWARE!

I hope Professor Ionescu will still sell me some of his old books that are duplicates on Nostradamus, since he is a great resource for Nostradamian study!

He has the only 1568 Benoit editon of the prophecies in the US in his library!

The other two known copies are all in museums.

All in all I enjoyed the hour or more I spoke to the good professor on the phone.

I wish him the best of luck and will send some of Sollog's writings so he might understand that the city in which he lives will be DESTROYED BY A QUAKE according to Sollog THE NEWAGE NOSTRADAMUS!
